Lucid forums (Building answer machine) aims at building a great user community in which everybody can help each other. We are very much committed towards the same and we are open to ideas and feedback for achieving the same. We tried to provide at least the basic features that a user needs in a forum. We provide you the ability to post text messages, pictures, Youtube videos, Google maps and importantly voice messages(You think you need more? Suggest one or build one and get a Lucid forums T-shirt). We also think users need to know latest happenings while they spend their time on website, so we have integrated Google text/video news to our website. We are also providing user with a global calendar that will remind you of any special days(Did we miss any important days? Please let us know). We also have many other ideas in our TODOs, we decide to add them in next versions.

As we grow as a forum, we also want to have our committed users grow along with us. Though we do not promise any favors to them at this point, we are planning to pick up some senior members of this forum as moderators for different categories and also see how they can be benefited. If you think you can become a moderator for any of the categories, please contact us, but we would prefer some activity on the forum from your end before we can consider. Also feel free to ask us to add a new category/sub-category and we can do that as long it makes sense at least to a good set of audience.

We are also planning to conduct some Computer science related contests regularly with some attractive prizes. We do have some voice specific categories in our forum like 'Singer spots', 'Mimicry', 'Jokes'. We would want people to participate in them and vote the nice ones actively. We are also planning to announce best artists(singers, mimicry artists) of season on the home page of the forum. You can suggest other ways to recognizing loyal and committed members of this forum.

We strongly urge people to follow some ethics while posting to this forum. Please, please do not use this forum for posting abusive, hurting, obscene, pirated and any illegal content. Please flag any inappropriate content and also feel free to mail us, if you find such content. We also urge you to try to validate your replies, since your reply ends up visible to billions of users on Internet.

We want our users to use the rating feature for each reply. As we build content in this forum, we want to build good content and rating is an important way to get this done. Please use the rating feature wisely.

We strongly urge people to post their questions in the correct categories. Also we provided the ability to remove or add any categories from your view. If you are a registered user, we save your settings, else your settings might long only for a while. This way, you can remove some uninteresting stuff from the site and keep it simple. Also feel free to ask us to add a new category/sub-category and we can do that as long it makes sense at least to a good set of audience.

While posting, we want users to add as many tags as possible. It helps in making their content more and more visible/searchable. Once again, please do not provide wrong/bad tags. We appreciate your effort here as you are doing enormous help in making content in the forum more accessible.

This feature is visible only to registered users as it is account specific feature. It helps you in organizing the posts in your own fashion. You can label any post and labels appear on the left side of page. Clicking on a label shows all the posts that are labels with that label. For example, you could create 'favorites' label and label all your favorite posts with this label. In this manner, you can manage your favorites.
